Bad news.. went to update item compendium and it looks like Lorebook changed the format of their data feeds. Until such time as that changes again, I will not be able to update the Item listing. This will also hinder the crafting database as well.

So are your thoughts to have another tab for tracking these mobs? Or would this fit within an existing compendium?

Long term I wanted to have a Mob/NPC compendium .. until then this might fit well as a compendium plugin. I have a custom way for adding these into Compendium. Perhaps a simple tab with ability to add new coord, name, desc to a ongoing list that can be searched and filtered.

the only thing i could think to add would be the shard droppers, i have a spread sheet with the names, level, type and morale of all the adamant shards, beryl shards, and mithral flake droppers, i pasted it here, i would have just attached it, but no option, email me and i can send it to ya

First of all this is a great plugin! One of the most useful I have found, thanks for making it.
I mostly use it for items etc, but have recently been trying to use the comments portion in the deed tabs to keep track of some deeds for my alts. I have too many of them and am not sure which ones have completed what. For example Im running thru moria instance deeds on a few of them to get the black goat. So to try and keep track in compendium I find the deed savior of Khazad dum and add 1 comment per toon. Within the comment I write which instances the toon still needs to clear.

It would be nice to add a little functionality here such as edditing comments (currently have to re-create one each time i change it) and viewing all the comments for a particular deed in a list form, with a name tag for each comment rather than just cycling thru. Also, being able to resize the comment portion of the window would be nice so I can read more of the comment at once (rather than using the tiny scroll bar).

I know this isnt designed to be an 'alt-tracker' but it seems so close to being useful as one that i think this fucntionality could add something to the plugin. You are creative and have designed a clean UI and I am sure you can come up with something brilliant here if interested!

typing /compendium shoudl cause the window to toggle on / off. The icon though will not disappear.

Hello, your plugin is awesome, but I want to know if is possible to add the option to make the button that shows the Compendium window to disappear.
I use Bootstrap and would like to have all my plugins buttons there.
Maybe you can tell me a simple way to make the button disappear myself, so you dont need to update a new version.

It is a big effort, and I appreciate the offers of support. I have always wanted Compendium to be a team effort as UI aside, the behind the scenes work really does eat up the time.

Do to the nature of the vast amount of material I have to sift through, I try my best to automate this process. Spreadsheets of information are definitely welcome, in particular in the area of where an item comes from. I hope to expedite a way to help classify items in the UI of Compendium to make this process easier. My hope is to make it so a person can quickly find item or a set, and tag it via the UI, and then zip up their PluginData folder and email to me. Then I will pull the data in for subsequent loads.

On another note, I automate data gathering, cleaning, and correlation of various data sets via the perl scripting language. If there is interest in getting involved in this side of the project definitely message me for more details. This side of the project comprises of more work than the LUA plugin piece. If you enjoy taking 2.5+ gigs of data and figuring out ways to fit boil that down to 10megs or so, then this side of the project is for you!

My knowledge of the lotro game, in general, is limited, and I rely on players and internet resources to help steer me straight. Unfortunately, my character in game is still very low in level . I appreciate all the feedback, suggestions, and bug finding immensely.

A big upcoming area I could use help is with the new Raiding Compendium. My plan is to compile information on different raid encounters, and lay that out in an easy to use UI. As well as have quick access to loot tables of those encounters. If you are knowledgeable on this area of game or have access to good resources you wouldn't mind sharing, then please submit.

I'll second that offer. This is absolutely a fantastic plugin, but also a HUGE project! If you need any help at all in building your database, feel free to contact me. I have plenty of spare time and I'm sure I could sacrifice a part of it to help speed up that section of your work load, so you can devote more of your time to the coding

Yeps, that list looks complete.

I'm not certain how familiar you are with the item sets in lotro, but many of them are earned from barter items in raid instances. Such as Dark Emblem of xx, which can be bartered for a chest piece.

Thing is, the armour (which of course contain the interesting stat information) have different names depending on which class barters the item. The captain chest is called "Battle-leader's Breastplate", the hunter version "Far-arrow's Jacket", champion version "Breastplate of the Deathstorm", etc.

In a perfect world, it would be possible to get a list of viable gear pieces based on the name of the barter item. If it's humanly possible is another matter

edit: I forgot to add; please give a hint if a spreadsheet with the various names on barter items and armour pieces would help. Or anything else a non-coder can contribute with
