Description
PLEASE NOTE - THIS TOOLBAR ONLY WORKS WITH SOM.

I created this toolbar because I wanted a clean interface that allowed for better positioning of skill bars and buttons while using more screen real estate. There are many interfaces on this site that I used for inspiration.

I have been using this for just about 2.5 years and just updated it to work with SOM. With SOM releasing in about a week, I will not be posting the MOM version.

Please see the readme.txt file for installation instructions.

Comments and feeedback welcome

Version 2 released
**************************************
Based on feedback and playing with the interface for a while, I have made some changes:

- Moved the Fervour and Focus pip display to the center of the action bar
- Created a similar mini attunement panel to display in the same location as the Fervour and Focus pip display (note - this bar only shows attunement in one direction. If you are battle attuned, it will only show battle likewise, if healing attuned, it will only show healing)
- The Gambit panel is now transparent so it can line up with the toolbars
- Updated the base toolbar image to contain zero, one, two, and three rows of quickslot placeholders
- Moved the autoattack indicator to a spot on the action bar
- Moved one of the action buttons from the left to the right side to better 'center' the toolbar

There are 64 different SkinDefinition files in this zip file. They include all of the permutations of the following:
- Support for 8 different resolutions
- Support for autoattack enabled and disabled
- Support for zero, one, two, or three rows of quickslot placeholders

To install:
- Extract the zip file and place the MultibarCleanv2 folder in the skins directory.
- Locate the correct SkinDefinition template file and rename it to be SkinDefinition.xml. For example, if you are running a 1600X1200 resolution and want 2 bars with autoattack enabled, take the file named 'SkinDefinition-1600-AT-2bars.xml' and rename it to be 'SkinDefinition.xml'.
- You will most likely need to restart the game client for the new images and positions to cache

If you prefer the older version of this toolbar, you can find the download under the Archive section.

As always, feedback is welcome

Thanks.

If you run into issues, feel free to PM me.

In other news, I made some changes to it on my client and debating whether I want to keep them or not (basically, I removed the auto attack button and moved fervour/focus and the mini attunement panel to be in between the panel/bag/action buttons) So far so good. I expect to be able to post another version of this with these changes sometime in a week or so.

Sounds like some good changes, though I sort of like the auto-attack button. Moving as much to the bottom/center is a good idea, makes it easier to focus on what's going on to have it all centrally located in my opinion. I even move my minimap to be down at the bottom.

I agree with Pomr67 with utilising that central space as much as possible. It looks like it is inviting it As for the auto attack, I am not fussed whether it stays or goes since if anything, I use the ~ key to initiate auto attack.

All in all, this UI made me a convert and I am loving it the more I look at it My only beef really is the silouette of the four bars above the inventory/panel buttons I wish would have three bars up rather than two up but that is just me :P

Really nice looking skin.
Is it anyway to take away the faded action bars? The ones that are already there?
I mean the gray boxes

Problem

I think your toolbar looks really nice and because of that I wanted to try it. My problem is, ingame I have no possibility to choose the toolbar because it doesn't appears as a option . (The install path is the right one. I have some other UI's which work)

sorry for the bad english^^

Solution?

Renathorn: Have you renamed the skindefinition file in the skin's directory? You just need to pick the one that is your resolution and rename it to skindefinition.xml. If not, we'll work it out and your english is just fine!

Thanks Jayven - Renathorn - that is exactly what you need to do.

I included the appropriate sizing in each of the different XML files but, in order for it to work, you need to rename the appropriate XML file to be skindefinition.xml. If you still have issues after doing that, let me know and we'll get it figured out.

pomr67 - that was my thought too. I have it all worked out for my resolution (1920) but, havent made the additional resolution files yet. I will do that in the next couple of days and post a v2

Jayven & Ladde - One of the things I can do is include multiple copies of the image I created for the toolbar itself - one with no gray, one with one full line, one with two full lines and one with three full lines. This should address both of your needs (and add a lot of flexibility for others) I will do that along with the other additions I'm working on and get it included in the next version.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate it.

Old Bars

Hey there!

Okay, tried it out but found I couldn't use your bars. The old ones were still showing, do I need to uncheck 'always show' under options?

I tried moving some of the icons from them to the new (and much nicer looking!) ones with this addon and they just vanished.

It was very strange.

I would love this see this version with a different autoattack button...

Renathorn - I'm not sure what to do next. I tried to get it to not show up in my UI Skin dropdown and the only way I could break it was to 1 - not have the files in the right spot or 2 - not rename the XML file. Also - which resolution are you using? there may be a problem with the file and I can have a look.

One last thing to check - Try to rename the correct definition file to be case sensitive (SkinDefinition.xml instead of skindefinition.xml). I am not sure if the UI takes case into account (it is common for XML to be case sensitive unless the code is written to accomodate it).

Pomr67 - the grey transparent boxes above the bar are just part of the image so, you will need to position your bars so they line up. You can move UI elements around by pressing CTRL and \ at the same time. Then, move the bars to the correct position over the gray boxes.

Hope that helps.

Fizzic - In the version I am using right now (which will be posted shortly) I have completely removed the auto attack button. Your post made me think that including it but, as a button on the bar may be a better option so, I am working on that atm. With all the changes listed here, it is taking longer than I thought it would... apologies for the delay.

basically, the next verision of the toolbar will include the following:
- Fervour/Focus and the mini attunement panel centered on the toolbar
- Toolbar icons split evenly on the left and right (right now, there are more on the left than right. evening this number out makes the fervour/focus look better as it is centered on the bar)
- Autoattack button changes (this will be something that you can control - I will include 2 different images one that is transparent for those that dont want the button and one that isnt for those that do)
- The Gambit panel has been made transparent so it will line up on the toolbar and look like another row of buttons

The above will be broken out into many different skin definition files (I wanted to keep the size of the download small so, all the versions of the skin definition are in the same folder)
- One as is seen in the screenshot with 2 rows of grey boxes above the bar
- One with 3 rows of grey boxes above the bar
- One with 1 row of boxes above the bar
- One with 0 rows of boxes above the bar

While not difficult, creating 8 different resolutions in the skin definition file for 4 different layouts with and without autoattack enabled (that's 64 files) does take time... my hope is to have it wrapped up today.
