Description
Note: I am no longer playing LOTRO or doing plugins. Any other competent plugin author is invited to take over maintenance of this and/or any of my other plugins. --Thurallor 6/13/2023

Introduction
This plugin lets you make a sequence of skills, and moves them under your cursor one by one, so you can click them in order, without moving the mouse. In action, it looks like this:

This might come in handy if you want to do a long sequence of skills or emotes, without having to remember it all. You can also export a sequence and e-mail it to your friends, to share your favorite skill rotations.

Another way this plugin can be useful is as a gear-swapper. So, for example, you can have one sequence for equipping your DPS items, and another sequence for equipping your tanking items. This is demonstrated in the following brief video:

As shown in the video, you can configure the bars to interact with each other: When one sequence finishes, you can make that bar close and another bar open. You can also make them open or close when combat begins or ends.

Bars can be grouped together hierarchically. You can use the options panel in the plugin manager to see a list of your SequenceBars (and groups of bars). You can right-click on any item for options.

The visual appearance of the bars is highly configurable, using right-click menus.

This plugin is still under active development, so comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Have fun,
Thurallor

User Manual
The User Manual is a work in progress. The following sections are available so far:
Installation and Startup
To install:
  • First, unzip the archive. You will get a folder called "Thurallor". Move this folder into your Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins folder. (If you have not previously installed any plugins, you will have to first create the Plugins folder.)
  • Or if you prefer, you may use Plugin Compendium to do the installation.
To load the plugin, use the game's built-in Plugin Manager. This can be found in the "^" menu, at the bottom of the screen. Click the icon, then choose "System" and then "Plugin Manager".

When the Plugin Manager opens, find SequenceBars in the list on the left side, then click "Load" to load the plugin. If you would like the plugin to load automatically each time you login, choose your character's name in the "Automatically Load For" pulldown menu.

Is this plugin really discontinued? Nobody is taking care of updating it?

It's a shame. This would be a perfect fit for the Mariner.

If your balance attunement is too high or too low, execute finisher and Re-Centre. If not, rotate skills. But for that, we'll need an update to have some triggers that work with Balance.

An amazing addon you've provided so far. However I don't know why you wouldn't add a way so that we can assign a key instead of clicking to trigger the seuences. I know for sure it is 100 % doable, so i'd like to know if a future update in that regard can be done.

That would be just amazing
Actually, in the implementation of Lua in LotRO, you can NOT respond directly to key presses. All we can respond to are "Actions" which are the events fired when a user presses a key that is bound to an action in game such as opening the inventory bags or the map or, well, pretty much anything in the keybinding part of the options window. Just not the actual key presses

What can be done is to create a command which can be put into one of the built-in quickslots which in turn are bound to key presses, so a plugin can provide some limited functionality that way but not skills or items (since they can't be activated programatically by a plugin). So, that would use up one of the built-in quickslots and would not provide significant functionality for a plugin like SequenceBars where the functionality is all about performing multiple uses of skills and/or items.

New Beorning skills in U37

Update 37 added a few new Beorning skills as a result of trait tree changes. The plugin still functions, but the new skills are missing some of the enhanced execution options that are available for other skills.

Ahh I found this video, the move under mouse cursor will help a lot, if you'll confirm I still can't bind a button to do it instead.
Turbine/SSG intentionally limited the abilities of plugins to protect the integrity of the game. So, plugins can't execute skills for you; they can only move quickslots around the screen. You still have to execute the skills yourself, either by clicking on them or by pressing hotkeys. (And you cannot assign a single hotkey to more than one skill.)

If clicking the mouse is difficult, and pressing a key is easier, you could buy a programmable keypad (such as the Razer Tartarus) and program one of they keys to act as the left mouse button. There is also a variety of specialized mice for people with arthritis, etc. such as this one. Good luck.

It is not possible for the plugin to detect which trait tree you currently have selected.

However, it is possible (based on the messages in the chat window) to determine when you select a particular trait tree, and react to that by showing/hiding bars/groups.

The procedure:
  1. Switch your trait trees and observe the chat window messages. You should be able to find a "You have acquired the Trait: xxx" message that is unique to red-line. (These messages occur in the Advancement chat channel.)
  2. Under the Events tab in your Directory window, create a new user event (let's call it "Entering red line") which fires when this chat message is received.
  3. In the right-click menu for your "DPS" group, add an event behavior: "Show group when user event occurs: Entering red line".
  4. For your "Tank" group, add an event behavior: "Hide group when user event occurs: Entering red line".
  5. Repeat steps 1-5 for your other trait tree(s).
I have assumed you are experienced enough with SequenceBars to be able to figure this out with very abstract instructions. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Thank you! This is far and away my favorite LotRO plugin.

Warden -

Hi Thurallor,

These three new warden's skills (well, actually it is one skill that changes it flavor based on last executed gambit) appear to be missing from the skills database - "The Way of the Spear/Shield/Fist". At least when dragged onto the bar, the skill options show only "Require Target" tick option, and nothing else. They got added during UPD 35 as part of warden rework (https://www.lotro.com/update-notes/l...lease-notes-en)

Re: Help!! Adding Skill Cooldown to Custom Skill Icons in LOTRO Plug Sequence Editor

Hi bluesil,
Quote:
I am looking for functionality in the plug. Can it be added if it doesn't exist? Thank you for your help.

To edit a sequence, you need to drag a skill from the "Skills" window to the "Sequence" window.

Then, left-click on the applied icon and select "Skill" in the "Appearance" menu.

Afterward, you can change the unique skill icon to the desired skill icon.

However, if you apply the LOTRO-provided unique skill icon to the sequence window, the skill cooldown will be applied. But if you change the unique skill icon arbitrarily, the skill cooldown will not be applied.

Is it possible to apply skill cooldown to an arbitrarily changed skill icon? If there is a related feature already available, please let me know.
This feature currently does not exist in the plugin. It would be possible for some skills (but not all, due to API limitations). I will add this to my list of feature requests and look into it when I have some free time.

Help!! Adding Skill Cooldown to Custom Skill Icons in LOTRO Plug Sequence Editor

Thank you.
