Thanks both to MrJackdaw for making this, and to Dwamur for taking it over!

I've gone through all the gambits I have at level 71, and found two errors with the builders:

Deflection - should be 2-3-1
Shield Tactics - should be 2-3-1-2

I have to admit that I didn't check all the tooltips yet, but the ones I looked at all seemed to be correct.

Words of wisdom. There are many abandoned projects out there, and I shan't touch them. One is enough.

Many thanks...

Many thanks for taking this over - I just haven't the time to spend on this as well as everything else at the moment. I knew when I started plugin writing that I had to beware spreading myself too thinly, and now with SortPack, BevyOBars etc. all taking slots in the mediocre amount of time I have - as well as trying to play the game! - I jumped at the chance that someone else could take this on.

Many, many thanks! I can start playing my warden again now *grin*

Thank you so much, Eva. The icon for Unerring Strike is missing. I'll fix that and the descriptions, and then send you another test build.

@MrsAngelD: You know, you are 100% right. The defaults for WI were to load in fixed mode, ooc visible, somewhere off to the left on the screen. Thanks a ton for pointing me towards that. Defaults will be changed. For now, what you can do is call up wi /options, uncheck out-of-combat, uncheck fixed. Then close options, ctrl-\, and drag the window to a sane location. I bet it'll work better for you from there.
If you'd like to send me a PM with your email, I can mail you the U6 test build for checking out.

I've done a test run of a skirmish in Determination now, and it worked well. The only discrepancy I've seen is with "Wall of Steel". It appears in both DPS and Avoidance and shows different descriptions in each.

And looking at the Excel file, "Unerring Strike" shows the tooltip and gambit icons from "The Dark before Dawn", as well as (as far as I understand that file without knowing anything about coding) the builders for that gambit - 12131 should be 12312. Might have something to do with the error I have with that gambit.

I only just now got round to testing, sorry. Anyway I fear I'm having a problem. When I first loaded after inserting the test files, things looked OK. I did /wi option, in order to change the displayed gambits, and while doing so I got an error message:

...\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\WardenIndicator\Functio n.lua:307: Failed to load background image.

Since then, I've been getting that message consistently when trying to load the plugin, and while a truncated gambit window is being displayed, it doesn't work, and I cannot get /wi option to load at all (I get the same error message). I did a new install by first installing the original plugin to make sure I had everything, and then inserting the test version and I deleted the plugindata for that plugin and character from the PluginData folder in order to regenerate it, but I can't get it to work.

I suspect it's a problem on my part rather than with the test version, but I'm not really sure what it might be or how to troubleshoot myself.

ETA (problem mostly solved/narrowed down):

Ah, it seems that there were two problems here. I did get the /wi option window to load when I chose a new stance. The error message I quoted does however constantly reappear when I check "Unerring Strike" in the option window - it does it whenever that gambit is checked, and only with that gambits, all others seem to be fine. Checking that box also hides all the gambit segments except "Heal over time" and Avoidance - the same is true in all stances and in no stance, if that makes a difference. I'll leave "Unerring Strike" off for now and play with the rest a bit.

Wanted: Someone to contemplate compiling a no-stance description of gambits, similar to what is at http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-Comprehensive .

I am not going to compile it. At least not right this second, I don't see it as essential. It's more of a "completionist" thing.

So, WI will either show Determination stance descriptions when out of stance, or show out-of-stance descriptions if we have a volunteer to compile the data.

Tonic to the rescue. I looked at his code: A stance is a "buff effect" and can be detected that way. I've reached out to him to see whether I can use his existing code so I (or JackDaw) don't have to create it from scratch. Unless you tell me you have buff effect detection somewhere in your utility collection already, JackDaw.

2nd pass done. After going back and forth between different sources, and finding them to be conflicting with each other and/or to be incomplete, I settled on this as the source: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-Comprehensive

I added some of the stacking information, and shuffled gambits around as to what I feel their primary function will likely be after U6. Input on this will be welcome, as I don't have a high-level warden.

All gambit information still based on Determination stance. Stance detection appears "not possible". I'll be happy to help revisit that if/when Turbine adds GetStance() and StanceChanged() to WardenAttributes.

I sent a few of you PMs, if you'd like to test. I just need to know how to get these changed files to you.

Yea, I tried em all and this is the one that I personally liked most. Static lists do me no good, I have 4 monitors and can have static lists out the wazoo open on other monitors while I play.. I likes Dynamic!

I like the idea of this plugin, however I think it would be nice if you had separate windows for each gambit type (ie, a window for Avoidence gambits, a window for dps gambits, a window for heal gambits etc..etc..etc.) Also a toggle command for each window would be great.

Thanks so much for your hard work,

Angel

On a different note.. I'm SOOOOO glad you're back working on it MrJackdaw and thanks for your efforts too Dwamur. Can't wait to test out the changes.

First pass done. I stuck with Determination stance for the descriptions, as that is how WI seems to have worked in the past. Need a 75 Warden to test the list of gambits, and to go over descriptions and see whether they are correct.

Stance detection is a question that interests me. HoTs in Determination are not HoTs in any other stance. Plus threat may be become minus threat, or a chance at a damage bonus, depending on stance. And so on. Not sure how hard it would be to detect stance and act accordingly.
Thanks for your work!

I am away at a conference till Thursday, but will be able to give some time to this at the weekend.

Stance detection should be relatively simple, but I will need to be at home to work on it. I will PM you with the result.
